The Boca looks for
stories of general interest to the pleasure
boaters that are focused on Trinidad & Tobago.
The articles either describe cruiser activities,
the environment, and the history of T&T.
Format:
Electronic submissions are preferred, sent via
E-mail or on 3.5 floppy discs in “text only”
format or Microsoft Word. Please check for
viruses before submitting. Hand written
submissions are accepted, if neatly printed and
easy to read. All articles must identify the
writers name, boat name, and address.
Photographs:
Insert your name, the photographer’s name,
the names of all persons in the photo and a
brief caption along with the photograph.
Pictures sent on diskettes or as an attachment
should be saved in JPEG or TIFF format.
Invoice:
Include with your submission, an invoice showing
the name of the article and/or description of
the photo, your name, mailing address. All
submissions, stories, photos discs, etc., will
be returned upon request by submitting a self
addressed stamped envelope.
Payment:
On
publication, payments must be collected within
one year at the Boaters’ Enterprise office
located at CrewsInn, Village Square, Suite B8.
Payments can also be mailed to persons on
request by submitting a self-addressed stamped
envelope. As an alternative, cruisers can
donate their payment to the Rebirth House, a
Carenage charity. The Boca appreciates short
articles on news, events, announcements, etc.,
however payments are not earned.
Rights: The writer has the copyrights for the article
and The Boca agrees to purchase “First
Caribbean Rights” to publish the article, photo,
drawing or cartoon in print and electronic
(internet) form.
Deadline: The 10th of each month for the following month.
